If someone gets drunk with their crush and a group of friends, could they spontaneously kiss their crush?
Avoid encouraging someone to (1) violate another person’s consent and (2) mask it as “I was/they were drunk.” If people are planning on doing something they’re uncomfortable asking for when sober, how “spontaneous” is it really?
Inebriated consent is one thing, but ask yourself if that’s what you just described.
Pro-Tip: Some of the worst people use this as an excuse. Don’t be one of them and don’t encourage it in others. And, no, it doesn’t matter that it’s “just a kiss” you’re describing.
If someone wants a kiss, they can ask for one (preferably sober) and deal with the consequences, openly and honestly. Asking does not include pestering or harassing someone until they relent or give up trying to resist, however.
