In a relationship does a spouse have a right to check his or her significant other’s phone?

“Darn kids with their newfangled compooters.”

Anyhoo.
I know I’m going to come off as hopelessly out of date and behind the times, but here goes nothing.
Cell phones, smart phones, and mobile technology are just fancy terms for tracking devices. Just assume everyone can read your texts, posts, chats, and what have you. …
… Oh, there’s an actual question I’m failing to answer!
Whatevs.
I guess … not … maybe … privacy issues? If you’re that worried about it, maybe you should just get rid of your (again) … fancy, schmancy tracking device.
I don’t know. Maybe you could turn this into a fun game of “find the secret message you plant to look incriminating then laugh at your partner when it turns out it wasn’t true at all.” Or somethin’.
Get a new phone, new relationship, or start trusting each other more. Oh, you can always ditch mobile technology, too. Just sayin’.
That’s all I got. Now get off my lawn.
