Individualist Liberation

So I’m for a feminism that can focus on the individual.  You can call it individualist feminism if you’d like.  I don’t want my liberation movements to have rule books or orthodoxy.  I think that’s the exact opposite of what liberation should be.  It should be as flexible, supple, and pliable as it needs to be, while keeping the core tenets of autonomy, respect, consent, and options.

Some people do their feminism within a faith tradition.  That’s fine for religious feminists.  But I want the flexibility to not have to navigate religious arguments, traditions, and practices to get to the good stuff.  The fact that it can benefit because it’s beneficial is enough.

This flexibility allowed for concepts like intersectionality, misogynoir, childism, trasmisogyny, and others to be expressed.  As long as separate feminisms don’t step on other feminisms’ toes, we can call out oversights when necessary.

That’s all.
