A father forcing a 10-year-old child to remove her underwear to be hit on the butt with an object—Is this abuse or normal corporal punishment?

Normal corporal punishment is abuse.

Abuse that also targets an area of erotic interest is all sorts of skeevy, coercive transgression and sexual assault on top of abuse.

Yeah, I know, I know. Those of you who believe you’re doing it “with love” and “to teach responsibility” and without sexual subtext are going to complain and gripe.

So why does the context change when you replace “girl child I’m related to and responsible for” with “woman”?

Why don’t you consider the first even more problematic and troublesome than the second?
