Rock your womanhood your way.

I feel like guys don’t like me because I’m a tomboy. What should I do?

Now there’s a word I haven’t heard in awhile.

Here’s feedback from men who like self-described “tomboys.”

Here’s more feedback from some guys who are into “tomboys.”

And, yet again, here’s feedback from other men that like “tomboys” like yourself.

Now, a lot of these opinions resort to unfortunate generalizations about both feminine and nonconforming women. Get past that for a moment, dig beneath the surface, and take note of what men who like women just like you appreciate.

  1. Easy confidence.
  2. Friendliness.
  3. Approachability.
  4. Appreciates the things they like.
  5. Authenticity.

These traits can easily apply to the most feminine of women too, by the way.

But in case you were wondering if men will be attracted to you (if you didn’t mean just platonic friendship and did also mean romantic/sexual interest), you needn’t worry. There are men who will like you for being yourself, however you feel most comfortable presenting.

“Tomboys” are awesome. “Girly” women are great, too. Androgynous and gender-neutral women rock as well.

All the best.
