I’m gonna rephrase.

Should a [husband] be upset that [his wife] looks at porn when [she] knows that it upsets [him]?

You almost never hear the question phrased that way and I’m pretty sure it happens a lot more than the close-to-zero percent of times people probably assume it would.

Gender essentialism: I’m not a fan of it at all.

You’ve got to wonder how this manifested itself after the marriage instead of before it.

Some people don’t like porn. Some very much do. I don’t think anti-porn people should marry pro-porn people. That sounds simplistic, but it’s really what it all comes down to.

This wife and husband should have had this discussion and made that determination before anyone said “I do.”
