Do you believe rapists/child molesters deserve a second chance?  Why/not?

A second chance at what?

Since a large percentage of rapists/child molesters are repeat offenders, they are rarely prosecuted for all of their transgressions (if they are ever prosecuted at all).

Some come out of prison and never rape again. Some undetected/unconvicted rapists rape once in their lifetimes.

Okay.

But they have raped. That shows a massive lack of compassion, ethics, good judgement, character, and trustworthiness.

The law may give them a second chance, but I sure as hell won’t.

For them, my trust meter will never go back to the openhearted goodwill settings. That’s their fucking tough luck for raping and molesting someone (or more than one).
