Are young men and women increasingly abandoning married and family life to maximize their economic opportunity as single people?

Some young people are delaying marriage until they’re more financially stable.

Some young people would rather not get married right now or ever, regardless of how much they earn.

But no one is abandoning marriage. You can’t abandon a social practice. You can choose to participate in it or not.

I think it’s a good thing that people don’t have to get married, don’t you?
