What is wrong/right with not allowing a rape victim getting child support from rapist, but then allowing the rapist visitation /custody rights if victim gets pregnant?

Abusers often use kids as leverage to continue abusing their victims.

If rape victims aren’t allowed access to abortion, they’re stuck having a kid they never wanted. That’s forced pregnancy.

If rape victims decide to see pregnancies through to birth and are willing to lovingly parent those children, rapists will often claim “parental rights.” That’s forcing a co-parenting relationship on an individual that would never have selected their rapist to have children with.

In my opinion, if you rape someone and that person becomes pregnant and gives birth, you as the rapist should lose (a) all parental rights and (b) access to that child, but you should still incur all parental responsibilities.

Rapists don’t get to force relationships on people that would never want them, even those of blood.
