Because it’s presumptuous as fuck.

And it’s not “fair” if parents invite girls for the same reasons to meet their sons.

Why is it presumptuous?

One minor point is (a) your kids might not be straight, so way to get that wrong.

But the major point is (b) you’re not allowing your kids to exercise their own agency and discretion. You’re not the one that’s going to deal with the relationship fallout, after all.

Those “suitably marriageable boys” wouldn’t just be putting on an act to get access to girls that were coerced into being submissive, now would they?
