I’m not saying that it’s bad to grow, stretch, or develop. Of course I’m not.
What I am saying, however, is that it’s far too easy to think you should just endure painful shit with the idea that it improves you in some ridiculously simplistic fashion.
Yeah, it can, but it only does if you’re honestly choosing to go in that difficult direction. And sometimes not even that works.
Pain is often your sign that maybe you shouldn’t do that thing. Honor that and put a limit on the amount you’re going to take, today and every other day.
